Bobby Abrahamson, a new member of the Lightleak group, is a recent transplant to Portland from Atlanta. He is a documentary photographer, filmmaker, and media artist with more than 17 years of professional experience teaching and producing documentary art. He has had five solo shows of his work, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in the United States and in Europe. Abrahamson has shot assignment work for publications including the New York Times, TIME, Fortune, U.S. News and World Report and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He recently self-published a book of his photographs titled "One Summer Across America". Bobby is currently teaching photography to adults and teenagers through a number of local organizations, including Newspace Center for Photography, PNCA, Portland Art Museum, Northwest Academy, P:EAR and the Pangaea Project.
